FUNCTION BLOCK
DESCRIPTION
  • Generates a brief pulse from a stable input.
CIRCUIT DETAILS
High Pulse Generator

When the input goes from low to high, (0v to +v), the output produces a brief positive spike, or pulse.

The length of the pulse is approximately:

Time(s) = C x R

To keep the maths simple, use uF and Mohms as units so in the circuit shown:

Time = C x R = 1 x 0.01 = 0.01 second

Low Pulse Generator

When the input goes from high to low, (+v to 0v), the output produces a brief low spike, or pulse.

The length of the pulse is approximately:

Time(s) = C x R
