FUNCTION BLOCK
FUNCTION
Produces a continuous stream of pulses.
  • -R = Reset input, stops the astable, active low
  • FM = Input for frequency modulation (a voltage here will alter the frequency)
  • The frequency can be altered by adjusting the variable resistor.

Supply Voltage (+V): 5 to 15 volts

NOTES:

The output is a square wave but it has a mark/space ratio of around 2:1

The astable has 3 frequency ranges set by a jumper.

Lo = 0.7Hz to 18Hz
Mid= 31Hz to 850Hz
Hi = 700Hz to 18KHz
