DESCRIPTION
  • A circuit that produces one brief pulse when the power is connected.
  • Ideal for reseting counters when a circuit switches on.

Output

When the power is connected to +V, the output produces a brief positive pulse. The duration of this pulse is approximately:

Time(s) = C x R

To keep the maths simple, use uF and Mohms as units so in the circuit shown:

Time = C x R = 10 x 0.01 = 0.1 second
