- A driver that functions as a current sink switch
- Switches up to 1.5 Amps, ideal for motors and relays
- On board heatsink
- Easy connection via terminal blocks
A Darlington transistor switch that functions by sinking current, ie: it switches the negative supply to a device.
Activates with inputs over 1.5 volts with low current drain, meaning a sensor such as an LDR can be connected directly to the PCB. The input connection has +V and 0v either side so adding a sensor in a potential divider is simple.
The output can switch voltages up to 30 volts. There is a +V connection that connects to a protection diode to protect the transistor from large emf voltages when switching inductive loads (motors, relays).
Connection is via block connectors, for the supply voltage, input and output.
This module can be used alone or as part of a bigger project using the BLOX design system.
