This thermometer that measures temperature by colour. The scale is from 10C to 30C. When 2 LEDs are on, the reading is in between, thus giving a resolution of 2.5 degree C. When the temperature is above or below the scale 10-30 the top or bottom LED flashes.
The circuit uses a thermistor to detect the temperature and a PIC micro-controller to measure the temperature and control the LEDs.
The power consumption is between 2.5 and 4.5mA. Using alkaline batteries (not included), they should last months.
The kit contains PCB and all components including battery holder. Requires 2 x AA batteries - not included in kit.
